I love old neon signs that make you feel like you stepped back into the 40's or 50's. No surprise that these signs are dissapearing fast. Here are a few of New York's survivors. If you know of a great vintage neon sign in or around New York, please contact me:Steve@stevegarza.com.
A few of these signs are flashing or have animation. To see them come alive, follow this link:

Disgustingly, McHale's (8th Ave) closed in January to make way for more condominiums. The owners told me they planned to relocate with all the vintage accessories, but some of the signs have already turned up in antique shops, so I'm not optimistic.
