Archives : I take a lot of pictures - its my style. I shot a lot and then edit a lot and hopefully end up with a few decent photos in the end. I moved some photos into this archive which I still like, but I didn't feel that they were captivating enough to keep in the main gallery. If anyone feels strongly that I should move any of these back to the main gallery, please leave a comment on that photo and I'll receive an email.

Bay Ridge : After a long 2 month wait, Forgotten-Ny.com had another walking tour, this time in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

Howard Johnson's : After a long, cold day on skis, I asked the receptionist at my hotel if there were any good diners in Lake Placid. 'Well, there's Howard Johnsons and..' she replied, which was all I needed to hear. I didn't think there were any of these left. As it turns out, this is one of three still in operation. The organge roof and steeple are gone, but the interior and the food did not dissapoint. It was nice to experience 'the flavor of America' again. They still leave the whole pot of coffee at the table for you. Now that's real class.

This HoJo's will be celebrating it's 50th birthday this May (check out http://www.lakeplacidhojos.com/). For anyone in the greater NYC area, it's only a six hour drive.
